The journey Prospektor made with photographer Anoek Steketee through Kurdistan: We flew to the Turkish city of Diyarbakir, made a tour through the south-east and went via Cizre (Turkey) to Iraq. In Iraq we came dangerously close to Mosul and visited Barzan. Our attempt to pass the border to Iran nearby Sulaymaniyah failed. Finally we left Iraq via Khaniqin, the bordervillage on the highway between Baghdad and Tehran. After our journey through Iranian Kurdistan we flew back from Tehran to the Netherlands.
